The Cleveland Clinic Cole Eye Institute Presents:

Internet broadcast of live retinal surgery during 4th Retinal Summit, 12:30 pm EDT, May 2, 2003

Overview:
Expand the surgical knowledge of state-of-the-art technique in retina surgery. The program is intended for practicing ophthalmologists.


Learning Objectives:
After viewing this program, the participant should be able to:

1. Describe proper selection of patient(s) for retina surgery;
2. Define anesthesia considerations for patient undergoing surgery;
3. Review operating suite setup and surgical instruments used in procedure;
4. Demonstrate surgical techniques along with moderator/audience interaction via teleconference including key decisions made during surgery; and
5. Identify complications that may arise with this and any surgical procedure.
